I'm sorry you feel that my choice to remove you from SGATL was elitist. I let you into the group even though you'd never come out to any events, which I almost never do. That was hardly elitist. The front message for SGATL states very clearly that it is a social group with the express intent for socializing in and around Atlanta.

All you needed to do was to post why you weren't coming to the party. I accept most excuses for non-participation at events, if members are actively engaged in the message board. You have made a few random posts, have never attended an event, and did not post in the holiday thread. I clearly stated that I would be deleting members who were not participating or did not have an excuse.

Perhaps you feel that the rules of SGATL membership are arbitrary, but they have been carefully decided upon by the majority of its members to ensure optimal group interaction and the least amount of lurking. It is a social group, remember? You have the right not to participate, and I have the right as moderator to enforce the rules for the greater good of the members who are consistent and involved. I think you'll find that the vast majority of local groups operate this way.

Please know that there are no hard feelings on my part toward you, I am just doing my job. Thank you for the feedback.
