1.
I opposed the method
And lost the dragon. I

Wished a single wish
Hands braving palm to palm

Like prayer, a flame to hair
Eats and releases, pleases

Horn and scale. What hell
When heaven repents?

Beautiful horror. Sugar
Of fine-ground bone

Fills furrow of hindsight,
A home where single

Dancer penetrates gesture
And sweet memory is cake, a

Grave, a sour city, so pretty
That tongue forgets to taste.

What a waste. I cast a window
And catch an open door.

Jesus and the fish. Angels
And some candy. Handy

Demons build a seperate
House. I catch a mouse

For company.

(Something's been alone.
Something's been alone.

Here it's left a heart

Here, a wall is burned...)

2.
So days pass, they blur. Thicket is urgency.

Force is slant, salient; you freed him weeping. Me.

Nearest things exist: Nothing persists, so there. Here.

The portions stride closer, my thick leg, my beard; my

Reared children giggle in their lake. Earthquake.

Secret beast quivering. Did I mean breast? The best

Milk for divining

Is diving to the bottom...

3.
Too epic. Two epics walk into a bar. Stop me, you've

Heard this one. Missed this one. Missed me. Kissed me.

Take a drink and ring a bell. Deaf horses know the way

Home.

4.
Long way home.

5.
No way home.

6.
Translation: Influential. Overwakeful.
Sleeping. Weeping. Overcrowned. Found.

Excited. Able. Bored and old.

Never told. Did or didn't.

Celebrated.

"Which was?"

Did I know?

8.
You did. Deadly and soft.
Safe and abrupt. Stretch to the moon

And yawn.

Vain, perhaps, then

Gone...

(This ugly century.
This ugly century.

This

World

I couldn't hold your hand

(Applause)

I couldn't

Hold your hand

Because...

Thanks for the advice, man - it was very helpful smile She lives on the other side of the country. But it's a small country.

I actually found out something else on Cafeastrology.com - Venus is in Virgo in her chart. And having read up on what that means, it explains a lot, as far as her behaviour towards me over the last year goes. I think I know where she's coming from now.

See you,

I

Schiele was the first fine artist I was ever into - I was obsessed with him in my late teens, really related to him. His negative spaces are sublime, I agree; but then there's little about his work that isn't, especially his earlier stuff. I find myself re-inspired by his work roughly once every year. I know what you mean about not feeling able to better his stuff, but I like to think I have it in me to do just that. I feel that the key to painting is colour, that is, leaving drawing out of it; and I would've loved to have seen Schiele do some of his characteristic figure paintings without using his magnificent line, just the watercolours/gauche - PURE COLOUR PERSPECTIVE! That's my aim - to do what Schiele did, but without lines.

Kokoschka actually did some excellent watercolour figure paintings without drawing, but his "sense" of drawing wasn't half as good as Schiele's so they're not as effective.

Astrology is really interesting and helpful. I've done my birth chart online before and it's always said that I have Leo rising; but when I re-did it last night (on the same site, but they've changed their format), it said I had Virgo rising. I don't understand it, but Virgo rising actually makes enormous sense, much more than Leo; I'm very Virgoan in many respects, and I feel strangely comfortable with being part Virgo. This also explains certain aspects of my relationship with my "crush", because of her having Venus in Virgo - there's a commonality but also a conflict, because Virgoans are so judgemental. We do criticise each other a lot. I feel this is a good thing, though - we sort of hold a mirror up to each other, which allows us to see and correct our flaws, which wouldn't happen if we were a perfectly harmonious match. I don't set much store by supposedly perfect matches.

Time will tell.

Thanks for listening,

I.
