Fucking christ! This Stevie Nicks obsession has got to come to a screeching fucking halt! Every morning for the past two weeks, I have gotten out of bed and immediately switched on my turntable to start playing "The Edge Of Seveteen" off of Belladonna. I have it permanently lodged in my brain. I've thought of about five different ways to turn it into a punk / post-punk / art-rock / whatever song.

The crowning glory was listening to "Thee Olde Trip To Jerusalem" by The Mekons the other day, a song which one could only begin to attempt to describe as "Post-Apocalyptic Cockney World Thrash with a dash of The Entire History Of Western Religious Conquest and Spiritual Perversion thrown in for seasoning," when my addled brain started mashing it up with the aforementioned Stevie Nicks song ... "Just like the white winged dove sings a song, sounds like she's singing ... THE OLD TRIP TO JERUSALEM!!!" I'm assuming there's about three people out there who even know what the fuck I'm talking about, but it was sincerely disturbing.

ps. And then I was walking down the street last night and suddenly found "Plush" by Stone Temple Pilots stuck in my head. WHAT THE FUCKING SHITBALLS COCK FUCK was THAT ABOUT!?!?! I think the laser eye on my mental CD player is scratched. Anyway ...
