What a turbulent little ball of stress life has been lately, yes? Talking to artchick on the phone yesterday, we decided that things have been bad all over.
Within my social bubble, the following things have happened to myself and others the past week:
Car accident
House burned down
Numerous people quitting at both jobs
Bunches of angry bosses running around like madmen
Being told...

After a while, being around all these humans and walking through their neighborhoods...
...I start feeling like I actually am one.

Hey, no problem. I'm just online all the time because I'm doing a data entry job from home this summer; I'm in front of the computer all the time, and if I didn't have boobs to look at, I'd go insane.

The parabol of my life, just now, is this poem by Kurt Vonnegut Jr.:
Tiger got to hunt,
Bird got to fly;
Man got to sit and wonder, "Why, why, why?"
Tiger got to sleep,
Bird got to land;
Man got to say he understand.
Cat's Cradle
Tiger got to hunt,
Bird got to fly;
Man got to sit and wonder, "Why, why, why?"
Tiger got to sleep,
Bird got to land;
Man got to say he understand.
Cat's Cradle

I want to fly away

Day after.
April 1st was quite boring. I think somewhere in the atmosphere, time shifted by a day.
This morning I read briefly that an old friend from my hometown had died. It was confirmed later that he'd been thrown from a car last night hoping to go to a different town, to a different bar for last call, when the driver missed a curb...

I am sorry to hear about your friends.
Countdown to the 24th anniversary of my first days outside my momma's guts, and the cannals between.
Strange how much, and how little has happened this year. So many people have dropped off the site since then, it's happened so quickly. Kinda surprised I've stuck around this long, actually.
Anyway, if anyone in the area feels like spending Wednesday evening with me at Psycho Suzi's...

While I don't hate all men, I can definitely see why some girls do end up feeling that way.
Luckily, most of my customers are really nice and fun. I just had to rant about the fuckwads that were pissing me off.

taking off. word to your mother
I'm curious.
How much value do you put in your name? Do you think it actually defines you in a way, or is it simply a title, a word someone says to understand that you are who they're addressing, or referring to?
I have lots of names. I like them all. So it's been bugging me these last few names. Like, for example:

I've been thinking about this a lot lately too, actually. I used to think it was just a title, word that singled me out in a room full of people. But now I think it might be more than that.
My birth name is Irina Zoe Z------. Zoe was going to be my first name, but my parents changed their minds at the last minute, as they were worrried that I wouldn't have enough charisma to pull off the 2 Zs. (Ha. I sure showed them.)
The other day, I told a professor of mine about it, because she said I didn't look like an Irina. She said Zoe fit much better. And I happen to agree with her. But why is that? What is it about me that makes me more a Zoe and less an Irina? Do I want to be a Zoe instead of Irina? What's that about?
I don't know. But it's certainly an interesting thing to think about.

Certain names give people certain impressions of somebody.
Jimmy is a sort of young name; gives the impression to me of something childish.
James is much older; more matured.
So the way they learn who you are can be totally differed just by this. And they might expect certain things of you.
blah.. i don't know where i'm going with this. but HI! how are you? <3

As "Singles' Awareness" day approaches, citizens of the U.S. and various other territories and occupations take part in a social Rorschach test. It's as simple as looking at the clouds, really, and giving your own interpretation. Difference being, that most everyone is looking at the same cloud formation, the same blot of ink on the same piece of paper and all coming up with passionate...

Walking does have its advantages. In Minneapolis, the advantage is mainly that when snow comes, driving becomes some strange foreign language.
And not like even a high school foreign language, no. But rather, it's the language that the drivers can identify by hearing, and recognise on paper, but no one can write it, let alone speak with affluence.
They're all driving around in their between-one-and-two-ton...
