sometimes it sounds like crowing.
a vocal distinction, and very subtle, that was (at one time) someone on the verge of wishing themselves out of existance, but it's different now.
not like before, where that wistfullness was caught on the corners of vowel sounds, sometimes even as much as nonchalance. a soft voice, strained and low.
