Well it's official, I have to work on Thanksgiving, 7-noon and 7-1 the next day. I just feel beat up by this company. blackeyed

Don't ever go to work for a non-profit company, they just build real estate empires and screw the employed staff, what I wouldn't do for a booming economy right now. wink

Out with friends later on Thursday I'm thinking of getting toasted insted...

I once worked for the Wyoming State Highway Department and after 2.5 years was told I would be layed off the day before Christmas and was told that I wouldn't be payed for the Christmas holiday because I was layed off before it started even though I had earned it. No one I worked with was too concerned about it, but then the Governor announced a state wide furlough for everyone over the holidays without pay for budget reasons. Boy did shit hit the fan!

As I walked out of the office for the last time I stopped by the chief engineers office, he was the guy that layed me off and I gave him a big smile and shook my head. He turned red with anger, I had lost only one days pay while he had lost seven days pay. What goes around comes around, I laughed all the way out to my car and all the way home. wink

Went to see the Young Dubliners last Wednesday, They are much better in person than on disc and very animated performers. Had to take a safty and first aid class today, It will be on overtime so I can't complain.

Not much else going on, I'm going to take it easy this weekend and try and save money for the San Diego trip. LUCK wink

For the last year or so the politicos have been building a big bull shit sandwich and now everyone in America is going to have to take a big bite out of it. blackeyed

Well, we have been getting light snow the last couple of days, but it melts off by afternoon. I'll have to rescue the skis and get ready for when the snow does stay around. wink

I booked a trip to San Deigo for early December, if I can't get the company to OK the vacation days I'm just going to quit the motherfuckers. eeek

Not much going...

I took in a play at the local collage last night, Chicago, It was great. Went out with Laurie again and ended up at ALL THAT JAZZ. Big Mun was playing, they added a trombone to the band, they are still too loud for that bar.

I should be getting ready for a trip out to San Diego to see my daughter and grand kids...

Shit man that sucks. Hopefully you'll see them sooner rather then later. It's been a while since I've seen my parents.

Hey I never thanked you for your story about protesting Dick Cheney, it made me smile.

Fast week, slow weekend.

My ex was back in town, she stayed on one side of town and i'm on the other end. I don't want to talk to her or see her so that worked out fine.

The Blues and Jazz Society jam starts at 4:00 and i'll probably will put in an appearance. Didn't do much this weekend. Read a little, wrote a little,...

Out last night for a new band, they played a lot of Blues instrumentals, and blues/rock. It was great !

There is a blues concert here on Sunday evening, Curtis Salgado. He was the model for the Blues Brothers. It should be a great concert.

I met up with Laurie last night at the bar. She was with another guy but kept asking me to...

This Friday was the first friday night in years, I didn't go out. I feel like I'm in a rut. Going to the same bars and seeing the same bands, meeting the same people. I'm sick of it puke

Off for a hike in the mountains, later smile
heresy2007:
Shit man,
I know what you mean. It doesn't change anywhere you go though, it's all the same everywhere to be honest.

Rock Springs drove me fucking crazy so I left, haven't been back to the state in over five years.

Five years later though, and I am sick as shit of Eugene too. Same bars, same kids, same bickering between people. There are a lot of cool kids, but you know.

Anyway, good to see a fellow Wyoming kid on the board. Enjoy the hike

The week has been going by fast. The weather has been rainy and cold, snow in the high country. That's good for the Elk hunters. Not much has been happening around here. I'm trying to save money so I'm not going out much. I quit looking for a new job, I would have to take a 4k cut in pay to take any of the...
