Somehow, this year, I managed to get hooked on American Idol. I watched in horror, from the beginning, as contestant after contestant tried to make the show. Some of them were so fucking horrible I thought to myself..."how could someone go on national television and make a complete fool of themselves"? Yet they did. Someone should have told them they suck to save them the embrrassment.

At any rate...I have to admit that I really like Simon Cowell. I know most people hate him because he can appear to be obnoxious, insensitive and totally rude in his remarks to the contestants.

But you know what....I like the fact that he's honest! If he thinks you suck...he's going to tell you. If he thinks you're great...then he's going to tell you. Okay...so maybe he lacks a little in the tact area....but at least he doesn't pull any punches.

Personally I like people who are totally honest. Good, bad or indifferent...tell me what you really think and not what you think I want to hear. I appreciate honesty and that's why I appreciate Simon.

I know...I can see the eyebrows raising now...but come on...wouldn't you rather be told what someone really thinks when you ask for their opinion rather than to be told what you want to hear??

By the way...Simon is really a softy...he does a lot for children and charity plus he really does have a kind heart
