So I'm alive and well in Perth. I flew her this afternoon, and checked into the YHA.
I lost my glasses on Monday, which may or may not put a damper on my plans to hire a car next week whilst I'm here. Fortunately the optician I went to to replace them said they could send them to one of the branches out here, when they're ready. I went out looking for a olace to eat not long after arriving and, lo and behold, I came across one of those same opticians not 2 minutes from my hostel. Hopefully I'll have new eyewear by this time next week.

A hypothetical couch would be no problem. But, as will appear in my journal (or, possibly, in a whiny friends thread) I just had a whole mess of bad domestic shit happen, and am now theoretically homeless in four to six weeks. I don't want to make promises I can't keep.
