Saturday was my first day of Entry Level Fire fighter 1 at LTC. Unfortunately at 4:15 am my pager went off for another barn fire. I was out on the first truck and on the end of a hose. It drained me so much! You would not believe the pressure that thing has.
Our chief found us there eventually and told us we were not getting out of class! We wanted to go to school so we went off to find our grass truck to get us back to the station. Unfortunately some one else took it and we started walking back the three miles. Fortunately for us some nice gentleman gave us a ride back.
Ended up being 30 mins late, but our teacher understood. Damn near fell asleep in class since I was so tired ans exhausted.
After class we got back to the station and the trucks were gone. So I drove back to the scene and my buddy and I were at the end of a hose for another few hours!
To end the night we all went to the tavern for a few beers! Its a riot when you get a bunch of fire fighters unwinding with each other!
