I was just in Japan for 2 weeks and I know no Japanese either. Even though most Japanese know some English, it was a difficult language barrier. The food was REALLY difficult as well.

EVERYTHING IS SUPER EXPENSIVE too.
Imagine paying 2.50 for a tall can of beer at the store and 5.00 for a small beer in a bar.

Just my .02 cents.
