this morning, i received this compliment(?) from the security guard here at work:

"you got that 80s look...it's hard to wear, but you got it goin on!"

so the question is, do i have an 80s look because i was trying to cultivate one today, or is it just because i'm out of style?

thanks for the plug for Nashville ... I've never been and I'm excited about it. I love bluegrass and honky-tonk-style country ... (and barbecue and southern cooking, too). I'm crashing at a friend of a friend's house, which is close to downtown and should be fun because she's a manager for some cool musicians, like Jim Lauderdale (although he'll be in L.A., doing a Gram Parsons tribute concert).

I can't wait for The Decemberists; they've been in heavy rotation in my life for the last year.

And I say: 80s look is a compliment. I mean, what's an 00s look?
