So...
I was reading Setsuka's blog yesterday about what she wants in a man, and one of the things she mentioned was a person with "interest or understanding of open relationships and polyamoury", and it go me thinking what a polyamourous relationship would mean to me.
So...
There are a few different ones, but I'm going to stick to MMF, MFF, and MMFF, and how they would work with me personally, as these are the types of interactions I would be ok with.
MFF (I'm obviously M in this one)
M and F1 can have fun
M and F2 can have fun
M, F1, and F2 can all have fun together
F1 and F2 can have fun (if they are in to that)
MMF (I'm M1)
F and M1 can have fun
F and M2 can have fun
F, M1, and M2 can all have fun together
I'm not really into an M1 and M2 type get together.
MMFF (I'm M1)
M1 and F1
M1 and F2
M2 and F1
M2 and F2
M1, F1, and F2
M2, F1, and F2
M1, M2, F1, and F2
F1 and F2
Again... not into a M1 and M2 get together.
Now in all of those, everybody can have fun with everybody (pretty much). I don't have a problem with 2 sticks rubbing together in 1 hole trying to start a fire... mainly because that one hole would be a female hole.

I think where I would have a problem would be:
MMF
M1 and F
M2 and F
No M1, M2, and F
or
MFF
M and F1
F1 and F2
No M, F1, and F2
See, the problem I have with those is that it's only polyamourous for one of the people in the relationship. I'm sorry, but if there's going to be more than 2 people total in the mix, we should ALL be able to play together.

Lastly,
Open relationships.
I'm not sure if I'm ok with this one.
If I understand it correctly, this one is MFS (Male, Female, and random Stranger), and it's the Stranger I'm not ok with.
I'm not going to be only having fun with F, and have F out there with S('s) bring me home a little surprise when I go see the doctor.
That also goes both ways. I'm not going to be picking up random people and having a good time with them and bringing home itchy surprises for F.

Now... ALL of this is just conjecture, because no matter how ok I am with a polyamourous relationship, or how much I would like to have one, my wife is NOT ok with them, and so I am monogamous.
