Went to IKEA and picked up some bookshelves today. I got two of the larger ones, filled them up, and realized that I still have boxes of books that are still packed away.
God DAMN I read a lot.
But, now that I have some nicer bookshelves, I am looking at going back and getting some of my paperbacks in hardback.
See, I read so fast, that I'll start a series when the first 5 books are out in paperback, and I'll kill all 5 of those, and then have to wait on each new book to be written. So what happens is that I'll have books 1 through 5 in paperback, and 6 through 12 in hardback. So now I want to go back and get 1 through 5 in hardback so that they'll all match on the shelves.
Oh, and I take the dust jackets off of ALL of my books too. I just think they look so much better without the dust jackets when they are on the shelves.
Now, at my initial count, I need... 35 hardbacks to fix my series... so far. I'm going to be hitting up the Half Price Books first in hopes to find them all on the cheap... but even at half price, that's $350 worth of books. DAMN!
On to work. I thought that my week was over, but I got called in today to load a transfer. More overtime I guess. Between this week and last week I'm sitting on right around 20 hours of overtime. This should be a pretty decent paycheck.
