So, it turns out that my grandmother is in the hospital right now.
Something about a diabetes related infection caused her to have a small heart attack.
With the way work is right now, I can't even get away to run up there (Kansas City area) to check on her.
It also brings up the question of what the wife and I should do if she passes, because I don't know if my grandfather could really take care of himself since my grandmother handled all the bills for the last 40+ years they've been together.
We don't know if we could convince him to come down here, and yet we don't know if we could go up there either.
For us to go up there, it would mean finding jobs up there... not to mention that when I do a search for the zip code I'd be living at, there aren't very many hopefuls around, which means my dream of being a staff photog here would be done the crapper.
Best would be to get him to come down here... we'll see though.
Who knows, I may be jumping the gun about all this, and she could be around for another 5-10 years.

:big hugs: my best friend's husband lives up there in KC. I do not know any hopefuls offhand but there are allllllways new hopefuls. i have seen a bout a hundred new ones a year. ill be think of you.
