Wow found a whole bunch of old friends through facebook. A girl I had a crush on back in elementary school found me I found a few more through her.

I looked up some formerly very close friends about 20 years ago. The contrast from when I knew them years earlier was startling. Of course, the friends you speak of haven't been out of touch with you for nearly as long as in my case. It should be fun for you.
