I'm sorry I didn't get to this comment earlier. Vancouver has a few satelite cities. E.I. Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond (where the airport is), Coquitlam, Delta. Surrey is Vancouver's largest satelite city. It's close to the American border. It's south and east of Vancouver, by about an hour by car (or less if you drive like I do), or 45 minutes by Sky train. Sky train is like a subway system, but it runs both above and bellow ground.

I live 5-10 minutes from a park and did go running. But it turned into more of a jog, as I want someone to compete with.
