I'm outside helping a customer and listening to them complain about someone leaving their car running while pumping fuel. After I get done listening to that ass hat, I'm walking away and then another customer decides to have this conversation with me...
C: Hey you...come here I weed to ask you something
Me: Yes sir, what can I do for you?
C: Why the fuck is this pump running so slow?
Me: Pardon me?
C: You heard me...
Me: Actually sir I didn't quite hear you all the way...(knowing full well what he said)
C: (rolls his eyes) well clean out your fuckin ears...why...the fuck...is it pumping so slow?
Before I had a chance to even entertain a bullshit answer to him, the guy on the same pump but on the other side decides to jump in
C2: yeah...why is it pumping so slow...this is rediculous!
Me: (heavy sigh) you know I don't know guys, maybe it's the cold weather, haha...
C1: yeah well whatever, YOU need to figure this out cuz this is bullshit! Every time I come in here, it's the same fucking thing! So you tell me why is it pumping slow
C2: yeah!
Me: to be honest guys I'm not sure why, I don't really specialise on the general mechanics of these pumps.
C1: you know what smart ass, I'm going to report you to the manager. What the hell is your name?
Me: that is certainly your choice. My name is R**** H*******. Would you like me to spell that out for you?
C1 starts to take steps toward me and C2 is now standing in bewilderment. I take a step back ward and C1 looks at me...
C1: you're seriously going to sass me right now?
Me: no sir I wouldnt seriously think of it...and my mangers name is... or you can reach...or...if you like. Would you like me to write all this down for you? I assure you they know much less than I do about these pumps moving a little slower. Plus I don't know that they would approve of how you have been addressing me as well, sir.
C1: you know what (rips out the nozzle from his truck and throws it down) fuck you! I'm going to HyVee! They are cheaper anyway!!!
Me: well actually sir, we always match or are under HyVee's fuel prices everyday so whatever you would like to do.
C1 waves me off gets in his truck and rips out while flipping me off. Since he was paying more attention to flipping me off then driving he nearly slammed into 2 cars and violently turned to miss them. He then screeched his tires and left very unhappy...C2 just put his head down and went about his business and I said you have a good night sir!
