So I usually do a lot of ranting, bitching and complaining about my job. It is after all what I created an entire separate FB page for called The Fuel Whisperer. I not only do that though, I also like to share some of the idiocy and comical ways of the patrons in this fine establishment. So check it out if you like to laugh and give me a like on the Page!
Today however, there was a change in the air. A bend in the time space continuum in the epicenter of the station. Every single person today so far has been a pleasure to serve. An onslaught of thank you, your welcome, and pleases have been raining on this property. However, the biggest thing so far has been a random customer whom had been evidently waiting for just the right moment to appear.
All but one of the 10 pumps we have were about to be used by some unsuspecting customers. This gentleman had crawled out of his modest not new at all Ford F-150 and systematically began to catch these people before doing the ritualistic feeding of the machine. I noticed this and thought I better go see if he is harassing customers and then of course ask him to leave if that is so...but he wasn't...he was literally going around to each pump and paying for everyone's fuel fill up! I was floored!!! As well were the patrons that decided to stop at this particular location. Whether they were a frequenter or not and whether they had a 1/4 tank or resting on E, this wayward unassuming person came in and just initiated an amazing act of kindness that most surely was most appreciated all who were treated. All totaled, this person spent well over $400 to make this happen. Then like the wind that's brought him in, he quickly left without garnering any more accolades then necessary. Side from the smiles, thank yous and a couple tears of joy from some of the more emotional people.
I know it may seem like a small thing in the infinite world of issues we have that exist. But it's kindness like this that keeps me going as well as remain with continued hope that we are not all evil. So thank you to this kind and generous anonymous person! Thank you from everyone who was effected!!!
