I LOOOOOOOOVE HORROR MOVIES!!! Actually, I kinda have a love for all kinds of movies, but since we are just looking at the horror genre, I don't have to write for days!!!
I do however have to split my horror movies up because it depends on my specific mood which one I want to wrap myself up in. However, I suppose if I had to pick one all in all movie that just scares AND creeps me out at the same time is The Strangers.
This movie scares the ever living shit out of me. The reason is, it is supposedly based on something that happened long ago in a neighborhood where a lot of break ins were happening...AND...it could happen again but just like this. It's more than just a slasher flick, because it is not really that. It's a psychological totally screwed in the head mind fuck. Those kind of movies have a way of getting to me but none more then what The Strangers did for me.
The story is like this...there's this couple that is staying in an isolated vacation house that have just come home from a wedding reception. They receive a knock on the door in the wee-hours of the night. What ensues is a violent invasion by three strangers, their faces hidden behind masks. They have cut off all means of communication and travel away from the cabin. The couple then find themselves in a very violent struggle, of just getting totally fucked with. They are forced to go beyond their scope of means in order to try to get out of the house and away from these strangers in one piece...
Now, I can't really say too much more because you really have to see it...mind you, not everyone will think it's as awesome as I do. You may not find this to be a holy grail of disturbance to you. But to me, holy shit it is a scary ass ride!

Now these are only a few of what I really super like and it's hard to just really narrow it down but this is a start! Lolol
