Amen! I'm so tired of hearing that the US was founded on God's principles and is a Christian country. I seem to remember that the US was trying to set up a country with different politics than the British who the US recently won their freedom from in the Revolutionary War. The US was set up by many meetings and congresses and, finally the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. Note there were no outwardly Christians involved in all of this and Jesus isn't mentioned in either the Declaration of Independence or the US Constitution. Now, in current days, we have the Tea Party and all the evangelical voters and candidates trying to get their votes so the evangelicals can finally rewrite the Constitution and really make this a Christian country and make non-Christians outcasts. I could rant on this for hours but I've pretty well got us up to the 2016 elections.

Thank you, @mrsoul! I'm also tired of people being blinded by their religion to decide things for me. i really wish that the "separation of church and state" clause was an actual Amendment. For the life of me, I can't figure out why it isn't. It is referenced so much and misrepresented on so many levels. Bottom line is, religion is a personal choice, one can be proud of it but one shouldn't force another to believing it to be the only way...
