Another week gone by... life's running away without me at the minute...

Spent the entire bank holiday weekend on my knees in the bathroom, which wasn't nearly as exciting as it might sound. Busy running waterproof lighting around the bath and sink into the panelling. Have spent this weekend so far sealing the whole damn lot up behind a glass block wall. Fucking shitload of work but it's gonna look the bollocks when it's done.

So this evening is chillout time, second bottle of wine already open and going rapidly. DVDs lined up to watch, Ali, When we were Kings (spot the theme) and American History X. It's gonna be a long night. Saw Dreamcatcher last night which was pretty close to the book but didn't stop me falling asleep for 20mins mid film. I blame Pikmin which has kept me up till stupid o'clock every night this week in spite of the 7:30am starts each day. Ho hum. Best thing about Dreamcatcher, though, with no disrespect to Morgan Freeman et al, was the Animatrix film. Jesus. I can't fekkin' wait to see the new'un. But then it's shaping up to be a good summer for genre movies with XMen, Hulk, LXG, Matrix 2 and 3... I'm in scifi nerd heaven...

Back to the red vino... smile smile

American History X is an awesome film. When i watched it with a mate, i was expecting to hate it as it wasn't the sort of movie i'd go for, but i was fixed to the screen!!! I've seen it twice since, and its still a brilliantly gritty story.
