well i smoked some weed and made myself a pb&j....while spreading the pb that question popped into my head, and i FINALLY have an answer....
john lennon - the guys an outspoken musical genius who wanted to change the world. i think he did, if only a little.
kurt cobain - i want to know what his life was like, not from everyone elses point of view and what they see, but from what he felt, and why he felt it. and what finally pushed him over the edge. when he died, i dyed my hair black in mourning...but not because the singer of my favourite band died, cause thats not the case. i enjoy nirvana and own most of their albums, but they are by no means a band that i love...theyre alright and i respect their talent, but thats about it. i was sad for him it had nothing to do with who he was.
elliott smith - i didnt even know this man existed till i read in the rolling stone that he killed himself. i even remember that exact moment...i was on the toilet in the bathroom off my bedroom flipping through a rolling stone and happened to see the article....it was small at the bottom of the page in the corner. i dont know why but my heart broke for him. i've checked out his music since finding out about his death, and i do infact enjoy it...maybe a bit more than nirvana, i own none of his albums have a hadnfull of his songs on my ipod. but i want to talk to him for the same reason i want to talk to kurt cobain. what did it feel like to be him, what was going on inside his head that other people can only guess about based off his lyrics.
so that might have been a bit emo on the last two, but fuck off.
people think they know who i am and whats goes on in my mind and they have no idea.....
if i killed myself tomorrow how many of you would be shocked?
