I had no direction in life today. The only thing I knew for sure that I had to do was buy toilet paper. Yeah, that was a for-sure. I woke up early around 11 this morning (that's early for me on weekends) and staggered out. Finally did dishes and some laundry. Listened to so old-time radio on iTunes. War of the Worlds was playing, it was kinda cool.
After a long period of doing nothing I decided to go clean up my office at work and read a script. I stopped at CPK along the way and got a 1/2 bbq chicken salad and a peking duck pizza intending to eat it first and then get underway with my work. Only problem was....there was this fascinating docu on Donald Rumsfeld on kcet and i got stuck watching it. Then i decided i didn't feel like working so i came home.
Made sure to get that toilet paper....
I had left my camera cable at work so I brought that home with me since I had taken some pictures in Culver City the night before when I saw Constantine.
My local theatre. I really like it.... when I see a matinee show. I don't like the people who go there at peak times. Very obnoxious, very offensive, they talk too much during movies. But in the afternoon, it's absolutely wonderful.
Firemen....I hate firemen. They're all stupid and arrogant and girls have huge unconditional crushes on 'em because they think they're heros or something and masturbate to the thought of being rescued from a burning building by some hot guy. The reality that tends to be left out of "Jane's" fantasy is the fact that having been rescued from said burning building, Jane is covered in first and second degree burns permanently disfiguring her. Now ugly, she is dumped by her boyfriend for a hot girl and the fireman who rescued her would never have anything to do with someone like that. Babies are scared of her, and people avoid saying anything to her face. So she lives out the rest of her miserable life watching others pursue happiness while she, an outcast is alone.
Recognize this building? Probably not. I'll help you, it's the location of Flynn's Arcade from the Disney movie Tron. When I am ridiculously rich and famous in certain circles, I plan to buy this building and open a vintage arcade called Flynn's. Just one of my goals in life.
Washington Blvd. To the left is the Culver City Studios. Can't see it in the shot though. Gone with the Wind was filmed there.
I think that's it for now...
