Well it's been awhile since I updated my journal, so I figured i'd do it today.. Recently, I have seen a tv commercial for the Forged In Ink Tattoo Convention.. And it caught me by surprise, because I never thought they made any type of tv commercial for a Tattoo Convention.. Due to how some people in society view people with tattoos.. This includes my high school art teacher who thinks that tattoos are not art work and should never be seen by anyone.. Those were her thoughts on when she saw pictures of my backpiece when I started it.. But back to the tv commercial...
So I'm sitting there watching this commercial thinking " oh cool a commercial for this ".. And while viewing the commercial they had the segments for Body Piercings, the Freak Show Performer, and then finally Tattoos.. So as soon as the Tattoo Segment came up there was only 1 picture that was included in it.. And it was my BACKPIECE... I'm like holy shit... This is cool.. So I call the shop where I get tattooed and I'm talking to them about it, and I got asked what issue I was in when my backpiece was featured in it from the same convention back in 2003.. If anyone has the issue of " TATTOO " ISSUE # 172.. I am on page 69.. Now to my problem...
I remember reading the problem that Amina had, and the problem that Tony ( the guy from Imperial Tatto ) who tattoos me & I had when we finished my backpiece.. This guy walks into the shop and demands that Tony tattoos my backpiece on him, because he likes it.. And Tony kicked him out of the shop because the guy wanted it and became belidgerant and said " fine I'll go somewhere else and get it done ".. And now that's what I fear.. I don't want that to happen.. So I am thinking of getting my tattoos copywritten and patented to protect them from getting stolen.. And with the commercial, I never signed any type of disclosure and waiver for them to use my backpiece in the commercial.. So I'm not sure what to do about that.. I'm running the thought of contacting a lawyer through my head to see what they think about my predicament.. And any type of thoughts on this from anyone on here would help.. I know this is long, so I'm ending it here...
