Tuesday Night
Note to self:
Next time a young black metal dude asks you to make the artwork for his band's cd say no, if he starts threatening... go for the belly.
Well it was a nice day till it was 20:00 when it was time to head for the woods and do the photoshoot for the artwork for a black metal band's demo. I got in my car with my stuff and proceided to pick up the cover model Ylenia and two friends of mine that wanted to get into the business, the band would meet us on location.
The shoot had to be simple, Ylenia dressed in some medieval looking clothes and the band dressed how they want, the location a park shortly out of town nearby a school that was supposedly clossed because it was a satanist coven (how appropriate).
I started with the band and all went well, besides they looked more like kids on halloween with that corpse paint rather than scary. However 50 pics where done, we chose the best 5 and all that was left was some photoshop aproved gore. Then it comes Ylenia's time, she should get on her knees with the gown spread in order to look like as if it was part of the ground, then i would add some gore there too and the indecifrable band name written with an even more indecifrable font type. That's when all hell broke loose.
First those guys wanted her topless, I said i didn't agree but Ylenia beeing so professional said it was ok despite it was rather cold out there. There we do some pics, and take a look at them on my laptop. Still she looks to dressed to them and that she should have been naked. I refused since i had an agreement that it would not be a naked shoot, since she doesn't feel comfortable doing it with many men around her (something even more than understandable in this case given the situation too). The more we refuse the more they push till in the end they start insulting her and threatening me "black metal" style with voodoo curses or whatever. A fistfight almost happens but given the fact my two friends are rather muscular they runned back to their car and got the fuck out. Now i just heard they left a nice threatening message on my answering machine saying they are asking satan or whatever they prayed to, to kill me gruesomely. Well i don't believe that crap, if it was real I should have died a gruesome death about 6 times, actually satan comes after believers only. I guess he requires a subscription or something, you know maybe heaven and hell have tons of red tape too and atheists are too much of a hassle.
Besides this nice evening the day was fine, i got confirmation for my band's rehearsals on friday and managed to pay all my bills for this month with plenty of cash left. I only wish my dear friend E.B. would have called me over that project she wanted to start with me.
