I just watched this movie, and so should you:
It stars a young and lovely Lena Horne and Bill "Mr. Bojangles" Robinson, as well as Cab Calloway and Fats Waller and a million other people. The greatest thing about this movie isn't just that it is probably one of the very few films put out by a major studio that features an all-black cast, but that it was made in 1943 to boot, and all the characters seem like real people, not the ridiculous and demeaning characters that were usually created for black Americans.
Also, did anyone catch the Leaders Debate last night? What did you think?
