Wow, Happy Valentine's Day to me! Not only was my picture chosen for the new PETA2 anti-fur campaign, my Coquette Faux Furriers creations are going to be featured in a fashion show being put on tonight by SuicideGirls.com and PETA2 to launch it! Ever since I first saw my favourite supermodels in the original "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign I've wished I could be a part of it since I too felt that strongly about how wrong it is for animal skins to be used as fashion, so for me this is the highest honour, and doubly so because I can help both with my photo and my designs offering alternatives to fur. I hope the images of me and my fellow SuicideGirls will help to bring the issue to the forefront for more people who may not have thought about where their clothing comes from, or what impact it has on the lives of animals, who have as much right to live as we do. I also hope that my faux fur accessories offer a real alternative for people who love classic glamour, but don't want to sacrifice the life of another creature to achieve that look. I'll be eating delicious vegan meals and wrapping myself in luxurious faux fur today in honour of our animal friends, just like I do every day, but this time I invite y'all to join me and try it out for a day!
