Just waiting for a call back from my dealer *crosses fingers*
How is everyone's Christmas stuff going? It's been nuts! My store went through a huge remodel in September and right after the holiday season hit us, we've been so busy but it makes the time go by fast. This is my 3rd Christmas at my job and it feels good!
I was able to get some presents for my family this year. Just a small thing for them to open from me, but I'm proud of myself anyways. Last year I was just such a mess, my spending was everywhere, I didn't really budget right and so I could hardly afford the gas to just get to my family, and my phone was shut off for a few weeks too. My income hasn't changed but I'm able to manage all my bills, my budgeting skills and spending habits have definitely changed for the better. I have a bad spending problem and getting it under control was a lot of work. I catch myself wanting to buy little things or I find that I want to treat myself to something, and once I do that then I snowball into treating myself to everything. I got a lock down on it now and I tell myself, "you have a spending problem, are these things something you need? Can it wait till it's on sale? If you wait a few days maybe you won't want it anymore." That really helps me out. I buy WAY less crap and now that I have a healthy spending habit I know what I can afford and I can reason with myself better. I know what my money can handle rather than my money handling me. This was a big thing for me in 2013. My goals for 2014 is to get my own place again (living with bf's parents, finally getting back on my feet!) and handling those responsibilities better. I'm also wanting to work on making some extra income so I can go do some fun adventures like go to SummerCamp music festival, visit Florida, do some shoots, and pick up some fun things along the way.
My birthday is January 26th and I'm so excited because it's my golden birthday! That's when your age matches up with your birth date. I'm kind of weirded out that I'm turning 26, but most customers don't think I look old enough to sell them booze so I'm not that bothered about age yet. I've been day dreaming bout my golden birthday since I first learned about it in grade school. I've always thought 26 was the perfect age for a golden year. I'm going to try to make the whole year special, I guess we should be doing that anyways. I'm just really going to do it with feeling and try to document it all, I think people want to know what a 26 year old alternative lifestyle woman does when she feels like having a good time. I'll let you know how it goes.
