I got new glasses! My eyes feel better now

They dilated my eyes to check for any degeneration and I came out clear. That was my big worry because my sister has drusen, and my mom's right eye has been having hemorrhages from the inside and it's been making me all worried. I hadn't had my eyes dilated in about a decade and now I remember why I made that a point. Dilated eyes suck!!! Ryan dropped me off at a restaurant so I could eat and wait out the dilation before I got my glasses, well, I'd never been to this restaurant before and I totally walked in the wrong entrance, sat down and waited for a waitress when actually there was a sign saying "order at counter" (I figured it out after awhile.) but yeah, I had to have the waitress read to me items on the menu and let me tell you, eating quiche is an adventure when you can only see it's shape and color. By the time I was finished with my meal I could finally read the menu on the wall so I thought that was good enough for me to walk back to lenscrafters (across a parkinglot and a highway and then another parking lot.) I then sat in my car for awhile, listened to Talk of the Nation and had my eyes closed until I could eventually read my phone. Good enough. I got my glasses and was very pleased with the turnout. Then I drove home, napped, watched Glee, and then hung out on SG chat for awhile and danced to a few songs. Tomorrow I have another day off and I'm planning on going to a coffee shop with one of my co-workers and hanging out with her.
I accidentally forgot to feed my cats today, by this evening my calico cat stormed into my bedroom, jumped up on me and meowed at me, demanding I put food in her bowl. It's not like they didn't have any food at all in there bowl this morning or during the day, but by this evening they definitely cleaned house on that thing. Oops.
Work is still going well. I worked a shift at another store in town and realized how good I have it at my store. I love my job and co-workers anyways but the store I went to was smaller, had less customers, less employees, and less things to do. I was fucking bored. I had the whole cosmetics department to myself and I got all my stuff done with still 2 hours left on my shift. I had no one to talk to so I just roamed the aisles and straightened things out and bugged customers asking if they needed help. I am so glad that my actual job keeps me busy and on my toes the whole time. And there is always someone, a co-worker or a customer, to talk to. It's funny how I'm always ready for a day off, but on my days off all I want to do is hang out at work. That's a good sign right?
