I'm preparing for a big year ahead of me. It's scary and exciting to think that a month from now I will have sold/donated/thrown out half of my possessions and will possibly be moving...somewhere (down the street? An hour away? To another state?) I'm already cleaning my slate. I deleted my facebook account, am getting involved in my self portrait flickr groups again, I ordered a point and shoot camera yesterday and plan on starting a 365.
Yesterday I had lunch with one of my best friends, I haven't seen him since January. He lives all the way in Portland. We are very blessed to have a friendship and the personalities that allow us to jump back into things and talk like nothing has happened, like we just saw each other the day before. I love old friends. We're both kind of on the same page, it's good to see how someone else is handling their soul search.

Yes, I agree, best to keep it simple otherwise the pressure to achieve a beautiful and complicated shot everyday may take the fun of documenting away...
I'm also doing a bit of soul searching this year. I'm currently writing resolutions but they are coming out more as new rules for life!
