Talked to my step-mom on the phone today. My grandma is still holding on. Everything sounds like she could go at any moment. I'm ready. I asked my step-mom if she, my dad, or our family was upset that my sisters and I haven't been up there yet and she said they had actually talked about that and did not want us to see her like this and they said they were sure that my grandma wouldn't want me to see her this way either. They wanted my last memory of her to be at my dad's birthday dinner. I feel very relieved. I do not want to say goodbye to her, I know she knows how much I feel about her, and she is not coherent now to have that reminder. I know she'll pass away with my love.
I also talked to my step-mom about my dad and we're on the same page so I feel confident about issue as well. She thinks he'll have to go on anti-depressants again to help him through this tough time and mourn properly with a clear mind. I have a feeling he'll go through some counseling too, but I was very happy that I could be open with her and know that she's with me on this. I didn't think she wouldn't be though.
So for now I just wait. Bleh.

This evening was a good one though. My friend, Scott's birthday is Saturday but Ryan works that day so we had a pumpkin carving party at our place. I bought a Harry Potter cake for Scott that said, "Alas, Happy Birthday" (if you have seen Potter Puppet Pals online then you'll think it's funny) and we carved our pumpkins while watching Community, 30 Rock and The Office. I'll post pics of our pumpkins this weekend.
