I took Mysi up to Chicago because she really didn't have any other way to get up there, she forgot her drivers license so she couldn't take the train. I'm always happy to help her out, plus it meant I got to spend time with her
I'm super pleased with myself about driving. I'm not usually good driving in "traffic" but I managed well. Only fucked up once.
We felt like having Indian food so we basically went to wherever the Garmin told us there was Indian food. The first place was closed on Mondays so we went to the next closest place. We ended up in Schaumburg at Dakshin Indian Cuisine. We walked in and were kind of confused, the place was pretty simple and on one wall was just a long table of food in the tray things that have the candles underneath. It was an all you can eat buffet and we couldn't see a price anywhere for how much it was but we decided to eat there anyways and it was REALLY good food. Turns out that the buffet of really good food was only $9! And they have a special on Tuesday where if you come in as a couple (one boy and one girl, which I kind of have a problem with but didn't want to get into technicalities) you get one meal free.
The people there were so nice, they kept trying to make us eat more food and try new things, I was so full from everything that I was close to being ill. I can't wait to go back. It's Dakshin Indian Cuisine
I hadn't had the chance to walk around IKEA and I'm so glad that I did
I got an awesome blanket that is super thin and lightweight and is all ruched up. Perfect for summer, when you want to sleep with a covering but not get hot. I also got a $5 set of tupperware because I'm one of those people who throws it out if something is super gross and moldy in it. So cheap tupperware is where it's at. I also got two pillows for our couch and a wooden toy truck because I have no toys for kids to play with in my studio and sometimes my cats don't feel like entertaining. I've decided that if I ever had a kid (eons from now) most of its stuff will be from IKEA. Keep it simple, keep it practical.
Okay, I am zonked out. I'm gonna listen to some guided imagery and then sleep.
