This is going be be a long one. It has been a strange complex busy day and its only 6 pm.
So I get a call at 8:30 am that the store I work at has been broken into and can I come in. Shit! I've only had 3 hours of sleep. erg.
So I get there and the front window is all smashed out and they've stoled every copy of School of Rock and Loony Tunes:Back in action (and Indiana jones, the mummy, and xmen boxed sets) that we were supposed to put out today.
Every copy except the one I put under the counter for myself last night! So I buy the only remaining copy and its kinda funny. And already I was upset that someone had shoplifted our only copy of The Sims:Bustin' Out a few days ago.
Okay it gets weirder.
This strange kid who always hangs around asking for cigarettes and pretended to hold us up with his finger once gets arrested in the parking lot for something totally unrelated.
Then my manager watches the security tape. Holy fuck.
Around 1 am one guy smashes through one windo pane and reaches in and steals some stuff. Goes and puts it in his car then gets some more 7 minutes later and leaves.
2:48 am - someone drives up, drops off a movie (!), then uses some kind of tool to RIP THE WINDOW OUT and then leaves with out stealing anything!
2:58 am - someone comes in through the now huge hole & jumps back out right away when the alarm goes off. He doesn't get to take anything.
The first guy was black, the second guy was white, the third guy was mexican. The alarm didn't go off until the 3rd guy!
Then I got a promotion.
Um...Okay.
Also this adorable little child came into the store and was asking about the robbery he said "They should have just come into the store and rented something. I'm so sorry you got broken into. Did they catch them?" we said no and he said "oh they gave the cops the slip. they must have a hide out" it was adorable!
Edited to say - fuckitty - to top it all off I just discovered that I accidentally bought the full screen school of rock in all the panic. I didn't even realize we had any. Now I have to figure out what to do with that. poo.
