Things that suck:
*Having to shell out any amount of money to buy your rich boss a birthday present
*1800flowers.com website fucking not working on any of your office's internet browsers
*Moldy bagels
*Drinks being cancelled
*Having to go to another fucking wedding. Quit mating, people! Or, at least, quit asking me to be in your audience!
*Boys

Things that rule:
*Planning a great, indulgent lunch because it is your boss's birthday
*Getting flowers
*A fresh pot of coffee at 5 pm when you have 2 more hours to go in the day
*Going on a hike with your friends instead of to drinks, which are work, anyway
*Open bars at weddings
*Getting your expense check back
*Boys

Add to Things that rule:
*When your rich boss becomes your ex-boss and his birthday comes around, such that you merely email him (and trust me, he notices it and regrets your absence).
*Having to go to another fucking wedding outside of LA (although granted, this also applies to things that suck, due to airfare)
*Japanese colleagues. When you quiz them on Godzilla movies or Japanese pro wreslting, you show your geek hand, but they also think that you're multi-cultural.
*Fellow industryites on SG. It instills faith that not everybody in the biz is a worn-out, mentally mechanical drone adorned in wannabe couture. Bonus points for references to Court House, Vienna, and Metro Center. wink

Kozo's name didn't ring a bell, but I asked around and he was at one point a top contender, maybe even champion. His manager is friends with a colleague of mine, apparently. On the older side, but still competitive in K-1 and the general kickboxing world.
