Going to Tokyo on Friday. Freaking the f out about it. First time; I am going on business. Should be honored (am). Should be excited (am, a little). Totally freaked out. Travel, new people, new environment, having to buy new clothes... all of these things hurt my head.
My coworker said I'd be fine, and among the reasons he listed is:
"You have excellent social skills. You don't like to USE them very much, but you do."
There was compliment in there somewhere, in the middle of him calling me an antisocial homebody.
Just bought my first suit. Hey, I work in Los Angeles, why would I own a suit? I bought it in twenty minutes. It is black, it fits, and the jacket covers my ass. There you go.
Now I just need shoes...
