oh my. this posting is just for me to say things i can't say in the house.
a) why couldn't a sexy, wealthy business man have hit on me when i was 17? why do these things always happen to me when im in deeply devoted relationships? oh wait, i've been in a deeply devoted relationship for 5 years now. fuck.
(back story: at the conference i attended today a sexy, wealthy, young business venture capitalist hit on me and i ACCIDENTALLY mentioned my boyfriend. i guess that's guilt rearing its unwanted head hrmph. )
b) its been months of nothing on the job forecast for desiree...all of a sudden, 3 places want me. what the FUCK?! Johns Hopkins wants me for its project MUSE project, the Folger Institute wants me to assist with its academic seminars, and UMBC wants me to work in its library. this is not cool. i like all three of the potential jobs and they all have their benefits/not-benefits. who would have though fortunate experiences could besodepressing?
