Saw this line on FB. EXACTLY what I needed today. So in line with the way I've been thinking lately. Realizing that a lot of my insecurities in the past few years didn't come from me, they come from other people telling me who I should be & me letting them.

So much of me has been locked away. So long I wasn't "allowed" to be myself, as carefree as I would have been without those voices in my ear, telling me that being ME was wrong & selfish.

FUCK THAT NOISE.

I'm gonna be ME. Take it or walk away.

Me being who i am & how i act is not selfish. If you can't handle it, that's YOUR problem. I'm not gonna change who i am out of "consideration" for the feelings of others.

Oh and I'm sure this will get back around to him, so...

On a slightly better note, my bday is coming up soon. Unfortunately it is on a friggin Tuesday (bleh). So I probably won't do anything for it. But still hoping I might get a gift from someone other than my daughter.
