I just cancelled the "party" Saturday.
I had a busy day Sunday with G. We went swimming & then i took her to see Brave (in 3D). AWESOME movie! Exceeded my expectations & I'm a pretty big fan of Pixar stuff. G of course loved it. It was hilarious, but with enough action to keep even boys entertained at all times. Plenty of humor for the adults too. I mean how CAN you go wrong with Billy Connolly doing the voice of King Fergus? Fuck Sean Connery. IMO the 2 best current Scottish entertainment exports are Billy Connolly & Craig Ferguson....ok & Franz Ferdinand too (the band, not the Austrian).
Today has been a shitty Monday. Shit blew up at work & myself & 2 co-workers basically had to lay it on the line with HR & say "its US or her" about one of our coworkers who is a COMPLETE sociopath & absolutely worthless. Then I started to feel weird after I ate lunch...all dizzy & sweaty. Ended up running to the bathroom & losing my lunch. Once the sweating & shaking stopped I felt much better. And of course I am home now & enjoying my present to myself so i feel MUCH better.
But overall...crappy day. Tired.
Thanks to everyone for the bday wishes. So far my ex-aunt (divorced from my blood uncle) & her 2 kids (my cousins) are the only Family who have even noticed. Even the cousin who has the same bday didn't say a peep. My mom is in Europe til the 5th so its not like I will hear from here (and honestly i think i'd rather NOT hear from her). But I am slightly disappointed in my sister.
She always forgets tho so I am not taking it personally.
The funny part is the ex-aunt & 2 cousins I have not seen in person since 1999?! Granted I am prob closer to my cousin Anne than any other relative (her dad being a close 2nd - both of them are VERY supportive of my SG thing which is awesome...and in the case of my uncle slightly creepy sounding, but he is just totally non-judgmental & likes people who are "different" - not a creeper pervie thing at all). I've seen all my other relatives MUCH more recently.
Just weird thoughts that have gone thru my head today. I do wish Anne lived closer (LOL - she lives in Bali!)... she has been more of a sister to me than my real sister. She "gets me" and has since we were little.
