Unfortunately my journal entry isn't too enthralling, because there's been a death in the family and the rest of the weekend was a very, very lazy one.
My grandmother passed away on Friday morning. Her health has been slowly slipping away for years and she's been quasi-catatonic for a week before her death. In this way, we are more relieved than shocked due to the amount of suffering she went through her last years. Because of this it makes it easier for my father and the rest of my family to handle her passing. Still, not a good way to start the weekend.
I spent the rest of my weekend watching movies with friends and drawing the next comic page. Because of the two dates I went on last week I had no spending money at all for this weekend. This tuesday however I'm going to see the Ike Reilly Assassination at Tom's Garage. I haven't really heard much of their music, but I really need to get out for a change.
Have you ever had one of those weekends where you wind up not doing anything 'cause you're flat ass broke?

don't feel bad for me! i'm not upset about being by myself on the holidays. i actually enjoy it. you have no idea how much i read. i can't get enough. and one of the things i'm reading right now is a collection of love comics from the 40's and 50's. it's really weird how much has changed since then.
