UK: The Great Passion Killer
Trying to achieve anything in the UK is just too damn hard. Personally it feels as though creative breakthroughs are rare and opportunity even more so. Trying to begin an adult company and kick start a dream is quite nearly impossible without buckets of investment or personal wealth to invest - it isnt like starting a driving school or even a regular production company.
For a start, there are not enough or any local(ish) adult studios or production houses to use, the UKs pool of male models is not as vast as other Countries and there are few female models who are willing to enter in to Boy/Girl assignments. Sure there are success stories and inspirational accounts of how some have succeeded, Killergram are a prime example, but they all have functioning pay sites that provide early investment and have bases outside the UK to beat the UK restrictions on the distribution of adult entertainment.
The internet and the prevalence of porn on it has allowed me to enjoy and fulfill a small slice of my dream from helping me to find and hire models, eventually culminating in the sharing of my images and videos through my own personal site. To this day however i have been unable to successfully arrange a feature length, boy/girl production, though i have planned several.
With my current income and schedule i could shoot a feature length production with four boy/girl scenes in just over nine months. Nine months for a single production is a joke! Especially since it would be filmed in under three days.
My ultimate goal is to build from scratch a mini adult studio that outputs roughly five or six movies a month. Completely doable as soon as Im reaping the rewards of my determination and dedication. I dont know how i can achieve it at this point but at least i have a goal that i can work towards.
It also doesnt help my case that i am effectively a newbie who perhaps doesnt have the knowledge of the industry and it would seem that these days passion counts for almost nothing. If it did Id have a company worth billions!
