Aiming too high or too low, either way i'm not getting anywhere. I'm stuck. Went for an interview yesterday, an interview i got through an agency - the agency invited me to their offices first to go over interview technique and preparation. Gawd! What a complete pain the ass, not to mentioin coming under critiscism for having long, past shoulder length, hair and being a male. Neither one of those would be an issue if it wasn't for the combination.
It really gets me going. Women CAN walk in to jobs and in public with long hair that may or may not be tied back, they can also have short hair. neither a problem. However, a man can NOT walk in to a job or in public with out attracting unwelcome and frankly rude statements about the legth of their hair if it be more longer than say their ear lobes.
I don't get it, i don't want to get it and just want to be taken on what i can do, how i do it and how i behave whilst doing it as opposed to what i look like and how i decide to wear my hair. It is in a word irrelevant.
I still have yet to hear the results of the interview, hope i get it so i can escape my 'reaper' like hell and be earning more cash - holidays, shoots and beer can then come flooding in my general direction.
