how come i ordered something off the internet and chose the option for ups shipping overnight... and in parentheses it said "may take up to three days?"

ups will get it to you the day after they get it, but some places have an "in house" time. like, it takes them a day or two to either, make it, find it, wrap it, etc. expecially if you order on a fri or sat.
