So I got the book for my first aid course, (and took and past said course). For some reason who ever wrote it got bored using 'them, and they' and made it a little sexist. Example

hahahaha. naw. i met that dream girl you told me i'd find. actually i didn't meet her... i already knew her. she was under my nose all along. she's from new mexico, so i went down there to meet her family and spend time with her where she grew up.
