I hate how materialistic my mom is. Yes I can be accused of being hypocritical here as I don't live in a tent with one set of clothes and a bowl to eat rice out of. That said now that my new condo is kinda finalized it seams I need a new microwave, not eventually to replace the large ugly one that works fine, but right away, with a built in fan underneath that the won't fit the cabinets of the place I haven't moved into yet. It appears that I also need another couple of amnsel adams prints to go with the one I have so there's a nice set, he (she?) does take great pictures. My decorations are of course to tasteless, or simple. The entertainment center and bigger TV is a must as I'm now a home owner. A 19" (i think) can't be view across the gulf of a ten foot wide living room.

With all this new stuff its handy that she's going to help out in buying things.

I just wish she could come to grips that she is a single mother of two who makes something like $15 per hour, and that she is going to have to retire some time in the future. Assuming that the highlander blood that flows in her father ever gives out she probably won't get anything from him as most of the family suspects that he'll give it to the charity he has worked for for decades, and more power to him.

With christmas coming up soon it may end up another orgy of consumerism like last year. If so I'll give something back to a less fortunate (suicide girl) person. like Alexsandria and her book that I think made it to her.
