This time the baltar hasn't a chance!!

So the second season of battlestar galatica kicked off on sunday. Baltar was captured by the fleet, Lucy lawless's character was kinda killed off and the mid season cliff hanger is over. Along the way starbuck got shot down and got half of the WW2 pilots injury, her hands got badly burned. I'm wondering if they are going to have her injury heal over a realistic time period. They did when she fucked up her knee. I just hope they don't go all some other show's on her and have her sipping tea and reading dusty old books in her cabin as she finishes healing.

I think having someone have to dress, and bathe her, may be a good way to get her and anders to work out their issuses, well her issuses. On the other hand (sorry) her character isn't good at stable relationships or good desicion making.

I was going to do this talk in the sci-fi group but, I came up with a reason to put it her instead. I hurt my hand at work yesterday, not that bady but still

The chop saw at work took a slice of skin off my left hand about the size or a quarter. The saw kicked a piece of aluminuim I was cutting into my palm at the base of my thumb. The guy on the saw next to me asked if I was OK as the noise and thump of the table made it apparent that something had happened. I said yes realizing that nothing was broken and I still had all my fingers, he got the profile shot of the flap of skin hanging off my hand. I'm not sure If I'm just becomming a pansy or that is was beacuse if was just a love nip by saw standards, but it really bothered me. I'm normally OK with my own blood, and this didn't really bleed. I had to go lie down on the floor in the room the time clock is in for like 20 minutes. I was getting close to passing out when I was standing up at the first aid cabinet. I think some of it was the fact that the first aid guy had to cut the flap of skin off, I mean it's not hair or a toe nail or something, your not susposed to have to cut anything off the palm of your hand.

I got back to work after some lying and sitting, a couple of hours later the installer who had 14 stiches worth of glass shatter in his hands while he was moving it last week was getting cleaned up by the same first aid guy (it's a small shop so we only have the one, I'm also not using names on purpose). I turns out that he was asked how his hand was now that the stiches are out. he said fine, flexed his hand back to show that and squirted a stream of pus from his cut, uuhhhhggggg, keep you hand clean dude.

So I'm pouring the iodine and polysporan onto mine, and the kitchen table it turns out. I managed to clean that up at least.
