So the ramant consumerism that is christmas in my family has passed. Normaly this doesn't bother me much since I get a bunch of free stuff I can use or good books I can read my way threw for the rest of the year. This year however was susposed to a little less expensive since, well I'm not a kid on christmas morning any more, I really should be moved out living with my girlfriend ( i'm single, pretty much permanatly). So this year it bothered me that it was a box unwraping orgy. I got three fairly expensive tools that I don't see my self using, ever. My parents garage is about 20' by 20' why do I need a 65' extension cord? next year I guess I have to break down and just ask for books and home depot gift cards. that will about do it for the condo I hope to buy in the spring.

I hope you christmases, hawnika's and solstises went well.

plans for today:
retrofit my car with racing lap belts ( I get to drill two 3/8" holes in the floor)
turning in empty bottles for the money
see if apairntly good local mechanic can bring special tool to my house to work on my convertable (check back threw my journals to june or so if your interested)

so to the other welders out there; remember that welders get good penetration.

see you in the new year.

It's the whole unit that (being raised up, etc) that contributes to their safety. He would still have to be in a booster seat with even a built in 5pt harness, which doesn't get us much further. Unless we installed a custom mini racing seat. Which could happen.

Truth be told of course, no authority will ever likely check to see if the car seat is CDN approved, and even worse case scenario (accident/insurance) unless there's a serious investigation, nobody of importance need know what he may be strapped into wasn't meant for sale in CDA.

But it shouldn't have to be that way... CDA should just hurry up and do some new tests.
