Recently I've been taking a short break from my indie-alternative music listening to get back to my musical roots. Something I haven't done in a while. I'm listening to a lot of blues, and early rock. I've been going through my dad's records and Exile on Main St. by The Stones and the White Album have had my attention for the last three days. Rocks Off by the Stones is probably one of the best songs ever written and there is no better songwriting duo ever than Mick Jaegger and Keith Richards. Its impossible to name a better duo. The only argument would be Lennon/ McCartney which I could understand but Satisfaction, Jumpin' Jack Flash, Brown Sugar, Rocks Off, Start me Up, and Sympathy for the Devil (just to name a few) are perfect and could be used in any Rock and Roll 101 course. Long live the Glimmer Twings

Rocks Off (M. Jaegger/K. Richards.)
"I hear you talkin when I"m on the street
Your mouth don't move, but I can hear you speak,
Whats the matter with the boy?
He don't come around no more,
Is he checkin our for sure?
Is he gonna close the door on me?

I'm always hearin voices on the street
I want to shout, but I can't hardly speak.
I was makin love last night
To a dancer friend of mine.
But, I can't seem to stay in step,
Cause I cum every time she pirouettes on me."

Song writing genius. Leave me a little somethin. I hope everyone's doin well. I'm doing better.
