I don't go hunting often these days, but it isn't because my outlook has changed. If one eats meat it is crucial to understand where it comes from, and that fellow inhabitants on this earth must die for you. I simply don't need to hunt anymore, and the spirit hasn't moved me in awhile.

Once you have killed an animal is your responsibility to not waste this life - proper preparation (skinning and cooking techniques), and use as much of it as possible.

Using deadly weapons properly should instill responsibility and humility. Poor firearm handling isn't acceptable. Make a mistake and you can kill someone (or get yourself killed) - neither outcome is desirable.

Hunting can be a sacramental and spiritual act, but you have to have your head on straight.

Recent news reports gives me the impression our vice-president isn't someone I'd want to be hunting with. For that matter, don't think being anywhere within his range and line of fire is all that smart, either.
