last night, kizmet (the 25 lb fat cat love of my life) and i had a fight. he thought, that while he was outside with me, he should run across my yard and into the neighbours to fight the evil cat from across the street. after running after him, i managed to prevent said fight from happening. he ran into my legs as i headed him off on the neighbour's front lawn, and then proceeded to turn around and bite my hand, very very hard, on the palm. as i stood bleeding and shaking in the neighbour's front yard, he lost sight of the other neighbour's cat, realized he wasn't in our yard anymore (as he was standing hissing in the neighbour's), and ran back to ours, where he proceeded to plop down in the driveway and act as thought nothing had happened. i stood over him bleeding, trying to get him to stand up so i could pick him up under one arm and take his silly kitty body to the house. that managed, i cleaned up my wound, found that he hadn't hurt me as badly as i thought, and proceeded to threaten many awful things to him (none of which i meant) and feel awfully sore in the palm area. today i went to the doctor to make sure it wasn't going to be infected and she commended me on my wound-cleaning abilities and said it would be just fine. as always, wanting an excuse to not go into the office today, i begged off, taking half a day for medical reasons and using the rest of my day to work on some work things at home and have a roll on the couch with boy (who is on a day off today). good times. but my hand still hurts like hell. bloody cats.
now i'm going to find a coordinating colour to paint the doors on my garage while i'm painting the trim on the house and garage this weekend. good times, huh?
