Rain falls in sheets. The trees shield some of it; the canvas tarps suspended above their heads shield other parts of it, but the trees still shake mightily in the wind at moments, dumping what seems like cauldrons of water around the camp, spraying in at times. It was going to be a long night. Denis' snoring, normally heard above all else, is confined to a small area as the sound of rain and wind drown it out. Trielle sits quietly, a change from his normal sharp-tongued demeanour. His thin shape barely visible, the points of his ears lost in the darkness. Silver shuffles a bit, the only sound Aladriel has heard from him all night. Yawning, she rests her chin on her hand, supported at the elbow by her knee. Scanning the woods, her infravision detects nothing, and her mind drifts to warmer, pleasanter climes. Even as a ranger, it is still difficult for her to deal with days of pouring rain. Trielle and Silver, more watchful, notice as two large hulking shapes appear on their sides of the small camp. Aladriel is shaken from her drifting to find herself face to face with her most hated enemy - the hideous visage of two ogres.

And now for something completely different!

Work is insane today. I needed to do something other than sign things and type work things, etc...so I thought I'd visit and leave a journal entry for you to mull over.

I'm planning to take a nice calm lunch today and spend it by myself, maybe in the park. I need to get the hell out of here for a bit, and that might be a great place to do it. Hopefully everyone else downtown doesn't have the same idea.

It's CFL night! The Roughriders are taking on the Argonauts and I'm watching it at our house with friends. Mmmm...pizza and football.
